Description
FRV-Povorot is a highly maneuverable fire-rescue vehicle designed for effective operation in dense urban development and complex traffic conditions. The design was first developed as part of experimental design work by the Academy of the State Fire Service of EMERCOM of Russia and the Vargashi Plant of Firefighting and Special Equipment.
Equipment Features
-
A vehicle-mounted, remotely controlled fixed monitor (deck gun) enables water or foam application at a significant distance.
-
Robotic complex “Shurik”:
-
Compact mobile robot for fire suppression in hard-to-reach areas and locations hazardous for firefighters.
-
Travel speed: up to 5 km/h on a flat surface.
Stream flow rate: 15 L/sec; range: up to 45–60 m depending on the source.
Advantages of the FRV-Povorot
-
Maneuverability in complex urban environments due to a steerable rear axle.
-
Integrated outfitting: fire service equipment plus an assistant robot.
-
Response speed and high fire suppression efficiency due to a powerful pump system and the volume of water with foam concentrate.
-
Versatility and safety—the ability to operate in areas hazardous to people using the “Shurik” robot.
The FRV-Povorot is a modern type of fire-rescue vehicle combining high maneuverability, autonomy, and innovative technologies. It is built on a heavy-duty Iveco chassis, carries a substantial supply of extinguishing agents, and is equipped with a remotely controlled monitor (deck gun) and a firefighting robot.
